Hi, I’m Mariah!
I'm a fourth generation photographer, videographer, and licensed drone pilot based in Madison, Wisconsin.
Born in Hawaiʻi and raised in Wisconsin's Driftless Region, my creative perspective is shaped by vivid seascapes as well as the four seasons.
Inspired by cinema, music, and impressionism, I use natural light to evoke nostalgia in my work. I'm drawn to stories of adventure, wellness, creative pursuit, sustainability, and the indigenous experience. If the assignment calls for grit, I’m ready for it. My work has taken me from kayaking through mangroves of Costa Rica in search of an endangered hummingbird next to cycling through the dust storms of Black Rock City, Nevada.
Outside of work, you'll find me painting, immersed in a fantasy novel, or perfecting my coffee brewing technique.

Land Acknowledgement
This Land Acknowledgment recognizes that the land now called Wisconsin is Indigenous land, and that the original people of this place include Ho-Chunk, Eastern & Western Dakota, and the Kickapoo peoples.. The land where I reside and conduct business is Teejop, meaning Four Lakes, the ancestral homeland of the Ho-Chunk people since time immemorial. I respect the sovereignty of the Ho-Chunk Nation and the eleven other First Nations of Wisconsin.
